John the baptist was Jesus’ cousin. John preached to the people about the coming of christ Jesus.John survived in the desert eating locusts and wild honey. Every day John preached of Jesus and baptized people in the river Jordan.One day,while John was preaching, he saw Jesus coming by and said “Behold!The lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!This is he of whom I said,After me comes a man who is preferred before me,for He was before me”(John 1:29 b-30 King James Version)
